मुंबई: अभिनेत्री-निर्माता दीया मिर्जा ने कई अन्य हस्तियों और उद्यमियों के साथ कोविड-19 के प्रकोप पर चिंता व्यक्त की है, जो संयुक्त राष्ट्र (यूएन) महासचिव के सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (एसडीजी) के पैरोकार और अलमनाई हैं। अभिनेत्री ने सहायता के दुनिया के दूरदराज में पहुंचने की उम्मीद जताई है।

दिया और एसडीजी के अन्य पैरोकार जैसे जैक मा (अलीबाबा समूह के संस्थापक) ने 3 अप्रैल को जारी एक बयान में कहा है कि वे प्रभावित लोगों के साथ एकजुटता से खड़े हैं।

बयान में अफ्रीका, मध्य पूर्व, दक्षिण एशिया, लैटिन अमेरिका और छोटे द्वीपों में कमजोर देशों की रक्षा और सहायता के लिए वैश्कि रूप से तत्काल कदम उठाने का आह्वान किया गया है। बयान में आग्रह किया गया है कि "नेता, नीति निर्धारक और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुदाय, विशेष रूप से जी20 और जी7, को इन क्षेत्रों में कोविड-19 के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए आवश्यक संसाधनों को जुटाने के लिए जल्दी और निर्णायक रूप से कार्य करना चाहिए।"

उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों के लिए सामूहिक रूप से यह स्वीकार करने का समय भी है कि सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए हमें प्राकृतिक आवासों को नष्ट करना बंद करना चाहिए और सभी अवैध वन्यजीव व्यापार को रोकना चाहिए। और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि वैश्विक संघर्ष विराम होना चाहिए क्योंकि हम इस लड़ाई एक वायरस के खिलाफ लड़ रहे हैं।
